The Spectacle - S/T
The first output by The Spectacle on vinyl was supposed to be a 7" EP. Luckily we were wise enough to order test pressings. When the first set of test pressings did arrive there was some electronic music on the plates so we had to reject them. When the real deal showed up a few weeks later the sound was compressed to fit the 7" format and did not sound too good. We had no other choice than to press the 4 songs as a 10". We wanted to do something really special with the covers. To make the whole cover into a booklet seemed like a cool but very expensive thing to do, but that did not stop us. Since the Spectacle at this point was a band that wanted to go somewhere we had to make a record that people would take note of. The band assembled all the records themselves and distributed it worldwide. One record was sent to Crimethinc and they liked it so well that they wanted to help The Spectacle further with releasing their music and ideas. That meant everything.
