Beyond the Fences - No Ceilling in the Sky

This record felt like forever to come out. Beyond the Fences had put out a solid demo and wanted to record something more. They put down seven tracks in the studio for an EP and they felt six of them were good enough to end up on No Ceiling in the Sky. When we heard the recording we became really excited, it was just as powerful and great as they are live. Great anarchist lyrics with that punk attitude that gives a nod to all those great punk bands that came before them. Of course there was trouble at the pressing plant, the test pressings did not really capture the recording and we had to work it out. In the end things turned out great. So when the record came out it came with a bang. A nice looking gatefold jacket, two lyric-sheets and a release party where they played the most insane concert we have ever witnessed. In front of almost 400 people in their hometown Bodø the band blistered and delivered. Stage dives. High fives. It made us feel more alive.
